The Kenan Connection offers a variety of clubs to paid members. Some partners choose to participate in one club only, while others participate in several. Participation is informal and events are scheduled regularly so that there’s always a range of activities to choose from.

Social Committee
Each year, the Kenan Connection Social Committee organizes a wide variety of activities and events throughout the year, to allow partners to meet, explore the area and have fun. Past events have included bowling, baby showers, holiday parties, tailgating, wine tasting and an annual flip cup tournament. In addition to planning activities, the Social Committee ensures that partners are in the know about the various KFBS Thursdays (school-sponsored social events every Thursday night where partners are welcome and encouraged to attend).

Families Club
Getting settled can be a bit tricky when you have little ones around! The Families Club is here to be a resource for information and support that will make the transition easier and your time in Chapel Hill even more enjoyable. The club hosts many activities during the year for you and your children, so you're never out of the loop! Families Club members enjoy weekly play dates, including field trips, parties, picnics, and study breaks with their student parent.

International Club
The Kenan Connection is committed to helping international partners and families adapt to their new environment in Chapel Hill. We recognize the special challenges that international partners are faced with, and we are pleased to offer support in many areas. Our International Club chair serves as a liason between incoming and current international partners and the Kenan Connection. She is available to answer any and all questions about life and customs in Chapel Hill, visas, bank accounts, social security cards, housing, supermarkets, shopping, ESL classes, transportation, or any other general questions partners might have before arriving in Chapel Hill or during their first months living here. The International Club hosts several events during the year so that all the international partners have a chance to get to know each other better, along with their traditions and customs.

Supper Club
The Kenan Connection Supper Club is all about good food, good conversation, and most importantly, good friends! Moving to Chapel Hill is an adjustment and Supper Club has been a wonderful way to meet new people and develop a support system. Supper Club meets once in the fall to organize groups, and from there, the groups drive themselves: selecting times to meet and new restaurants to explore. Many Supper Clubs meet monthly and many choose to host dinner parties at home or potlucks to supplement the restaurant visits. Supper Club maintains and distributes a list of restaurants in the Chapel Hill area, including member comments, as well as a list of the weekly drink/happy hour specials that restaurants have to offer.

Book Club
Book Club meets monthly at the homes of different partners. Book choices are suggested by group members and are varied, ranging from heady and academic to total beach reads, depending on the season and the attendees' preferences. Importantly, meetings are stocked with snacks, wine and other beverages!

Wellness Club
The Kenan Connection Wellness Club is committed to organizing group outings and events, both outdoors and indoors, that promote health and fitness. Events include guest speakers and local fun runs/walks. The Wellness Club helps to ease the transition to Chapel Hill by providing partners with information about local gyms, trainers and doctors of all types who have been recommended by previous Kenan Connection members. The Wellness Club also provides partners with information on UNC's intramural groups and other school clubs in which partners are welcome to participate.

Children's Hospital Radio & Telethon (November), and Food Drives & Toy Drives (December).
